Meaning: “More… than…”
This structure is used to compare two things or actions, where the one associated with “ほうが” is considered better or preferred compared to the one associated with “より”.
　※Note: The object or action following “より” is the one being compared, while the one following “ほうが” is regarded as better or preferable.

  • Action comparison: Used to compare two actions, emphasizing that the action followed by “ほうが” is the better option.
    　Example: 歩くよりバスに乗るほうが早いです。
