Meaning: “So-called…” / “In other words…”
“いわゆる” is used when the speaker wants to explain or introduce a term, concept, or commonly known name that the listener might already be familiar with or can easily understand. It typically precedes nouns to introduce a concept or make it clearer to the listener.
