Meaning: “Plan to”, “Intend to”, “Supposed to”
“～つもりだ” is used to express someone’s intention, plan, or expectation to do something. It can also be used to describe what someone believes or considers themselves to have done, even if the reality might differ. It can be translated as “I plan to”, “I intend to”, or “I believe (that something is the case)”.
