Meaning: “As…”, “In the role of…”, “In the capacity of…”
“～として” is used to indicate the role, function, or status of someone or something. It describes a person or thing acting “as” something, performing a particular role or having a certain status. It can be translated as “as…”, “in the role of…”, or “in the capacity of…”.
