Meaning: “now that…”, “since…”,  “as long as…”.
When the speaker uses this structure, they want to emphasize that once a certain condition or situation has occurred, the listener must accept or follow a certain result or requirement. It is often used to express determination, responsibility, or obligation.

Structure:
　　・Verb (Dictionary form) + 以上
　　・Verb (Past form) + 以上
　　・Noun + である + 以上

Example:

1. 1. 1. 🌟 約束した以上、守らなければならない。
         　　（やくそく した いじょう、まもらなければならない。）
         　　Since you promised, you have to keep it.

      2. 🌟 この仕事を引き受けた以上、最後までやり遂げます。
               （この しごと を ひきうけた いじょう、さいご まで やりとげます。）
               Since I took on this job, I will see it through to the end.

      3. 🌟 学生である以上、勉強を怠けてはいけない。
               （がくせい である いじょう、べんきょう を なまけて は いけない。）
               As long as you are a student, you must not neglect your studies.

      4. 🌟 責任者である以上、失敗は許されない。
               （せきにんしゃ である いじょう、しっぱい は ゆるされない。）
               Since you are the person in charge, failure is not allowed.

      5. 🌟 試験に合格した以上、次のステップに進まなければならない。
               （しけん に ごうかく した いじょう、つぎ の ステップ に すすまなければならない。）
               Since you passed the exam, you must move on to the next step.

      6. 🌟 一度始めた以上は、途中でやめることはできません。
               （いちど はじめた いじょう は、とちゅう で やめる こと は できません。）
               Once you’ve started, you can’t stop halfway.

      7. 🌟 親である以上、子供の責任を果たすべきだ。
               （おや である いじょう、こども の せきにん を はたす べき だ。）
               As long as you are a parent, you should fulfill your responsibilities to your child.

      8. 🌟 ここまで来た以上、後戻りはできない。
               （ここまで きた いじょう、あともどり は できない。）
               Since we’ve come this far, there’s no turning back.

      9. 🌟 プロジェクトを開始した以上、成功させなければならない。
               （プロジェクト を かいし した いじょう、せいこう させなければならない。）
               Since the project has started, we must make it successful.

      10. 🌟 一度決めた以上は、最後まで責任を持って行動します。
                （いちど きめた いじょう は、さいご まで せきにん を もって こうどう します。）
                Once I’ve made a decision, I will act responsibly until the end.
