Meaning: “Called…”, “Known as…”, “Such as…”
Both ～という and ～といった are used to quote or paraphrase something that was said or thought. They function similarly to English quotation marks (” “), but with some subtle differences:

❶という (to iu):　
　・More formal and literary.
　・Often used in written language or when quoting specific terms, names, or titles.

➋といった (to itta):　
　・More casual and conversational.
　・Often used in spoken language or when paraphrasing general ideas or statements.

             （かのじょ は ゆうめい な さっか という たちば に いる。）
             She is in the position of being a famous writer.

      5. 🌟 「日本語能力試験」というテストを受けました。
             （「にほんご のうりょく しけん」 という テスト を うけました。）
             I took a test called the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test).

      6. 🌟 日本には富士山といった有名な観光地がある。
             （にほん には ふじさん と いった ゆうめい な かんこうち が ある。）
             In Japan, there are famous tourist spots such as Mt. Fuji.

      7. 🌟 すしやラーメンといった日本料理が好きです。
             （すし や ラーメン と いった にほんりょうり が すき です。）
             I like Japanese food such as sushi and ramen.

      8. 🌟 猫や犬といった動物が好きです。
             （ねこ や いぬ と いった どうぶつ が すき です。）
             I like animals such as cats and dogs.

      9. 🌟 夏休みには海や山といった場所に行きたいです。
             （なつやすみ には うみ や やま と いった ばしょ に いきたい です。）
             During summer vacation, I want to go to places such as the sea or the mountains.

      10. 🌟 学校には先生や生徒といった人々が集まっている。
              （がっこう には せんせい や せいと と いった ひとびと が あつまっている。）
              In schools, people such as teachers and students gather.
